JOSEPH M DOMBROWSKI

Chairman of The Board/CEO

Joe has been in the metals industry for over 55 years. He began his career early by earning an internship at Edgcomb Metals while still in high school. He worked in the business for years in sales, then management before deciding to step out and form his own company in 1972 with only 3 employees. Today he oversees 300+ employees that are a part of the 7 divisions of Pennsylvania Steel.

He is very active in the community serving on the boards of the American Cancer Society, South County YMCA, Venice Youth Boating and Venice Hospital Foundation. He was also a former president of the MSCI Philadelphia Chapter. He served our country in the US Army 101st Airborne Division. He also has a love for music having played professionally for 20 years.

MICHAEL LOVELAND

President / COO
Michael started full-time in 2007 in our Naugatuck, Ct location after graduating from Temple University. He graduated with a major in business management with a concentration in marketing and minored in human resources. Michael relocated to Gastonia, NC with the purchase of Schwartz steel. He was promoted to GM in 2013. Michael is the President of the South Atlantic Chapter of the MSCI.

JOANN ADELSBERGER

Chief Financial Officer

Currently the Chief Financial Officer of Pennsylvania Steel Company, Joann began her career back in 1985 as an entry-level bookkeeper. As her role continued to grow over the years, she later earned the title of Controller than later promoted to her current position held since 1998.

As technology evolved, in 1991 found herself in the forefront of Pennsylvania Steel’s transformation from manual records keeping to implementing a companywide completely integrated Accounting & Inventory Management computer networking system to improve its operations to better serve customer needs.

Since the company’s first acquisition in 1997, Joann has been an intricate part in Pennsylvania Steel’s six acquired Service Centers and her active role in the company’s continued growth. She remains committed to the future of Pennsylvania Steel while enjoying her day-to-day responsibilities working with an outstanding team.

Phil D’Amico

VP Of Operations

Phil has over 20 years of experience in the metals industry while serving as a President and CEO of three Chambers of Commerce. Phil has gained extensive experience on the operations side while also in several business development roles. Phil earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from West Virginia University, with postgraduate work completed at Temple University, Ball State University, and University of Notre Dame.

DAN MCMULLAN

Executive Vice President/General Manager (Bensalem Division)

Dan is currently the executive vice president/General Manager at PSC. He started his career at Pennsylvania Steel in 1975 as a shear/saw operator after graduating from Northeast High School in Philadelphia Pa. In 1979, Dan continued his career in the steel industry, going to work at Interstate Steel as a burner/saw operator only to return to Pennsylvania Steel in 1982 as an inventory control clerk eventually moving into the inside sales position.

In 1987, he was promoted to Asst. General Manager and has held the titles of General Manager, Vice President and is now Executive Vice President.

BRIAN D. KLABBATZ, JR.

IT Manager

Brian joined Pennsylvania Steel in 2012 as their first IT Manager. He is responsible for all aspects of information technology at Pennsylvania Steel. Working in the IT field since 1996, Brian came to Pennsylvania Steel after seven Years at The JK Group working as the Manager of Infrastructure. Before that, he spent six years as an IT Specialist at Smith Stratton, Wise, Herher & Brennen, a Law firm concentrating in civil litigation.

Brian also sits on the board of a non-profit charity Ryan’s Quest. The mission of Ryan’s Quest is to increase awareness of Duchenne muscular dystrophy with the purpose of allocating funds for research that has the greatest potential of finding a cure or treatment for this disease.

Jonathan Albert

General manager (York Division)

Jonathan is the General Manager for the company’s York Division, which includes Central and Western Pennsylvania as well as Maryland. He joined Pennsylvania Steel Co in early 2022 as Assistant General Manager of the York Division. Jonathan has been in the Service Center Industry since 2006 and has held numerous positions including Business Development, Inside Sales, Manager of Business Operations and Contracts, and Regional Controller. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Clarion University, a master’s degree in Accounting from Mercer University, and earned his MBA from the University of Louisville.

 

STANLEY W. MILLARD

General Manager (Allentown Division)

Stanley started in the metals industry in 1978 as Plant Foreman for an international aluminum fabricator serving the oil & gas industry. In late 1979, he was promoted Production & Inventory Supervisor. Stanley’s responsibilities included purchasing raw materials including 30 custom aluminum extrusions and coiled aluminum sheet. He handled all plant scheduling for a 2 shift operation and handled product shipment details.

He was Promoted to Materials Manager in 1981 and focused on purchasing & plant scheduling. In 1984 he jumped to the Metals Service industry as Materials Manager for a local Distributor focused primarily on Aluminum Products. This service center was purchased by Pennsylvania Steel in 2007 and a promotion to Inside Sales Manager followed in 2008. Stanley was Promoted again in 2010 to General Manager.

TONY LUONGO

General Manager (New England Division)
Tony has been in the metal industry since 1981 in both sales and management. He was hired By PSC in 2005 as General Manager to facilitate the opening of and to manage the New England Division. Tony is a board member of the MSCI New England Chapter and the PA Steel representative member of the PMPA.

CHRISTOPHER GABEL

General Manager (Long Island Division)

Chris started in the metal business in 2006. When he joined Metal Connections Inc, a small privately-owned local metal service center. There, he started in the warehouse, learning how to operate the saw’s. Over the next 4 years performed multiple duties which included inventory control, trucking, and purchasing. While working with Metal Connections Inc, he was also on loan to an Aerospace Materials service center which we shared our building with. There he worked as a shift foreman as well as receiving manager.

In 2010 Chris moved into the sales department fulltime, which also included outside sales. In the fall of 2012, The Pennsylvania Steel Co was looking to expand their already existing presence into the NY market on an everyday basis. The day after hurricane Sandy hit the east coast, Metal Connections Inc was sold to PSC. He has held the position of Territory Manager for the last 5 years for PSC covering Long Island, NYC boroughs, Westchester County, Northern NJ, and Southern NYS. As of this year, Chris was promoted to General Manager.

Sean Wenhold

General Manager (North Carolina and Virginia Division)

Sean started in the metal industry in 1988 working after school as a warehouse Stock Puller, Saw Operator for a small service center inside his hometown, to put himself through college. He graduated from Gwynedd Mercy University with a degree in business and finance. After college, Sean moved to inside sales, purchasing and eventually to outside sales. 2007 saw Sean working as Vice President of machine shop and coded fabricator, building vacuum furnaces, pressure vessels & OEM machined parts. 2010 he was hired by Pennsylvania Steel as a Territory Manager working for multiple divisions of Pennsylvania Steel. 2019 Sean was promoted to Regional Sales Manager and in 2021 Sean was promoted to General Manager of Stanley, NC & Ashland, VA Divisions.

 

Martin Haendiges

General Manager (Cleveland Division)

Martin began his career in the Metal Service Center Industry in 2004, selling structural steel as an inside sales representative.   He was promoted to a Territory Manager position shortly after becoming a Division General Manager in 2012.   Moving on to  Pennsylvania Steel Company in 2019 to help develop and manage the Cleveland, Ohio Division.   His current role with Pennsylvania Steel Company is the General Manager of the Cleveland, Ohio Division.  

 

Aaron Nivert

General Manager (Throop Division)

Aaron joined Pennsylvania Steel in October 2022 through the acquisition of Nivert Metal Supply, Inc., where he was Executive Vice President and General Manager. During his time at Nivert Metal he led several major projects to update the company’s operations, including ISO certification, barcode scanning, installation of new racking & machinery, and a new ERP system. Prior to joining Nivert Metal in 2012, Aaron was the CFO of Primus Telecommunications Australia, Pty. Ltd, one of the top five telecommunications companies in Australia.

Aaron is an experienced business leader with a strong background in finance and business operations. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Pittsburgh. He is also the Treasurer of Discovery Montessori, a non-profit school for low-income families in Scranton, Pa.
